Wild Summer Round-up and Giveaway
It's the end of the summer challenge, but not the end of the fun!
We have officially reached the end of the 5th annual Read, Discuss, Do Summer Challenge! It’s been a Wild Summer, and we hope you’ve had a good time discovering new favorites and connecting with your kids through books and activities this summer!
Over the summer, we had ten very special guests come by to share some fascinating animal facts about themselves and their relatives. We’ve shared book lists, discussion starters, and lots of activity ideas, including a custom coloring page each week. If you’ve missed any of the weeks, just click on an animal below to find that special guest’s post!
We are celebrating the end of our Wild Summer with a giveaway! We love to reward people for reading books by giving them more books! For this giveaway there are two prize packs for two different winners. The first winner will receive three books: Out there in the Wild, The True Blue Scouts of Sugar Man Swamp, and Duckworth the Difficult Child. The second winner will receive paperback copies of Oh No! and Federico and the Wolf.
To enter the giveaway, all you have to do is fill out the sign-up form below (if you’ve done this already, no need to do so again)! Here are the rules:
You must be at least 18 years old to enter.
You must have a valid U.S. mailing address.
The giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. (CDT) on August 17, 2025.
You can gain extra entries by filling out the Wild Summer Bingo card and by commenting on this post. You can share your Bingo card by emailing us or sharing it on Instagram and tagging Read, Discuss, Do in your post.
That’s it! Here’s that sign-up link for you:
If you didn’t follow along all summer, no worries! We still hope you’ll enter the giveaway for a chance to add some pretty great books to your home or classroom library.
We will announce the winners in our next post on Monday, August 18. Good luck, and keep reading and connecting with kids!
